What happens when you take a Grammy winning bassist and an award- winning Broadway actress and pair them up during a pandemic? You get a dynamic duo. Mutual fans of each other’s artistry, Syndee Winters and Ben Williams first made their connection where most artists meet, Instagram! During the COVID19 pandemic as all of the entertainment industry closed, Syndee and Ben found themselves in an otherwise unlikely pairing, and have come together to create a duo that mixes the best of Jazz, Pop and a sprinkle of Broadway.

Syndee Winters:
“I am NOT a “Broadway” person!” Winters exclaims. “But somehow my skill set became what Broadway was looking for. Pulling from the musical influence of, Lena Horne, Erykah Badu, Missy Elliot, and Idina Menzel, Syndee has starred in shows like Motown: The Musical (Diana Ross), The Lion King (Nala), Hamilton (The Schuyler Sisters) and Jesus Christ Superstar Live! on NBC with Sara Bareilles, Alice Cooper, and EGOT recipient, John Legend. After spending the better part of a decade in Musical Theatre, Syndee Winters is indeed a “Broadway person”. Her talents have taken her all over the world performing for Oprah Winfrey, President Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Sir Richard Branson. During the pandemic Syndee continued performing online via her Youtube channel, SyndeeWintersTV, where her produced performance videos showcase Syndee doing what she does best. It was there that Syndee caught the attention of Ben Williams.

Ben Williams:
Ben Williams, who has achieved an incredible amount of success in his own right. Obtaining a Master’s degree from Juillard, and the recipient of the Thelonius Monk award in 2009, Mr. Williams has toured the world as a member of Pat Metheny’s Unity band, winning a Grammy in 2013 for Best Jazz Album. Other artists Mr. Williams has played with are, David Sanborn, Herbie Hancock, Kamasi Washington, and more . An accomplished solo artist, Mr. Williams has released several albums under Concord Records and his most current release, entitled, “I Am A Man”, blends all of his musical influences of the greats including, Prince. With Ben Williams’ musicianship together with the vocals of Syndee Winters, this duo is mixing a cocktail of music audiences all over can experience and enjoy.
